You are sitting in the room with the school psychologist, the speach and langusge therapist, the school social worker and other school personnel. You are ready to shout out "See I told you he/she is not Autistic!!" when you hear these words.."Yes he/she does have Autism." This message is delivered in the most calm of tones and you are thrown completely off guard and you are not eady to wrap your brain arround ths word "Autism". Then you hear a strange language, the people in th eroom start talking in letters IEP, ADA this & that, then Tiltle number something. You want to scream 'This can NOT be happening!" The thruth is it is  happening more often than  not and most parents aren't prepared to cope with a world who will see you child as an invisible  person and you see him/her as a person and a miracle.
